You don't have to be a princess to wear a tiara!

The latest look for special occasions, particularly weddings and formals, is delicately pretty tiaras or headpieces.

The pieces add interest to any outfit and are the perfect partner for elaborate upstyles.

Studibaker, Wollongong, has a wide range of tiaras and headpieces in store, with a variety of necklaces and earrings to match.

Manager Gail Buckley said the sets were proving very popular among brides-to-be and those hunting for something different for their formal occasion.

The store has stocked Peter Lang jewellery for some time and has just added a new Queensland-based label, TJ, to its range.

``Peter Lang has always had interesting headpieces and his hair clips have been very popular," Ms Buckley said.

``Our new label adds to the range of pieces available with very elaborate tiaras and intricate headpieces which incorporate Swarovski crystals, imported from Austria."

Ms Buckley said the pieces also were proving very popular for school formals as they were of high quality but reasonably priced.

``We've already had girls coming in to plan for their school formals later this year and they love the tiaras and headpieces," she said.

``We're also seeing the re-emergence of the debutante ball which these headpieces are perfect for. People are beginning to realise the power of accessorising - even the plainest black cocktail dress will look great with the right accessories."

Studibaker also stocks a wide selection of crystal and metal hair clips which are great for any occasion.
